Outsourcing / Toll blending
A very essential product formula is used by a customer and is sourced
from Japan. It has a temperature control requirement and is process
sensitive. Gower Chemicals have a refrigerated unit under their
control to store this material -product is released on demand from
customer within 2 hours of call to process.
Pro actively Gower Chemicals are in tripartite discussions with
the customers and the Japanese manufacturers with the aim eventually
of Gower manufacturing the product at their site, using mainly raw
materials already stocked by Gower and the confidential speciality
ingredient (the 'magic potion' being added at the final blending
stage.
This once again will offer substantial reassurance to all partners
in respect of logistics and stock management.
